Denali National Park, Pika Glacier Ski Base Camp

Join us for a Denali National Park Alaska climbing expedition based from the spectacular Pika Glacier, located on a fork of the Kahiltna Glacier originating on the southwestern slopes of Denali — the highest peak in North America at 20,310 feet. This remote wilderness, often referred to as “Little Switzerland,” is famous for its dramatic rock spires, steep couloirs, and world-class alpine terrain.

Accessible by airplane, the Pika Glacier ski base camp provides an ideal launch point for alpine climbing and ski mountaineering objectives in the Alaska Range. From camp, we can pursue a variety of classic routes and technical objectives tailored to conditions and team goals.

This expedition is typically structured as a 7-day climbing journey, allowing time for skills development, weather windows, and multiple summit attempts. Our guided Denali National Park Alaska climbing expedition combines expedition instruction, alpine climbing, and ski mountaineering in one of the most spectacular mountain environments in the world.
