Lake City Ice Climbing

CustomFamilyIceModerate +No Experience Needed

Lake City offers a quieter, more relaxed alternative to busier destinations like Ouray, while still providing excellent ice climbing terrain. The Lake City Ice Park is easily accessed from town, allowing you to walk from lodging directly to the climbs and maximize time on the ice.

Heated basecamp tents with wood-burning stoves are located throughout the park, offering a warm place to rest and regroup between climbs. At the end of the day, the local brewery sits right at the edge of the ice park — the perfect spot to celebrate a great day of climbing.
