Private Rock Climbing Instruction

What do you want to climb?  What skills would you like to learn and refine?  We will schedule any of our courses as private instruction to fit your schedule.  Speak with our guides and we will help you design a private lesson that will meet your needs and leave you with a sense of accomplishment. We offer guidance on:

  • Pre-climb planning, including using climbing resources and how to read route descriptions.
  • Gear selection.
  • Rock quality evaluation.
  • Gear placement evaluation.
  • Gear placement as it pertains to movement on route.
  • Risk management.
  • Trad anchors.
  • Rope handling skills.
  • Lead belaying, top managed belays, and multi-pitch progression.
  • Lead climbing psychology and communication.
  • Advanced rappelling and descent options.

Client Expectations:
No prior experience necessary.

Included:
All climbing gear; shoes, harness, helmet, belay device, & locking carabiner. Bring your own gear if you have it.

Pricing includes an (AMGA) American Mountain Guides Association Certified Guide or Instructor. Ask your guide if they are certified by a third party similar to the AMGA.
