Alpine Mixed Climbing Glen Cove Cirque on Pikes Peak
Mixed climbing in the Glen Cove Cirque is not as committing as the north face of Pikes Peak but can be every bit as challenging. With easily accessible high alpine terrain it’s the perfect venue for climbing mixed rock and snow climbs in the multi pitch world. The area has many couloirs and mix routes to choose from as we ascend to the top of the Glen Cove Cirque to access the Devil’s Playground, a broad bowl located above 13,000 feet near the summit of Pikes Peak. The northern Front Range, Sangre de Cristo, and Sawatch mountains are visible from this lofty vantage point.
Fairytail Wall, Gold Wall and other multi-pitch snow and mixed routes all in one cirque.
