Alpine Rock Climbing and Snow Climbing in Glen Cove on Pikes Peak

Snow climbing in the Glen Cove Cirque is not as committing as climbing the north face of Pikes Peak. However, routes here are just as fun as this easily accessible high alpine terrain offers the perfect venue for practicing snow climbing skills and honing technique.  We have many couloirs and alpine rock routes to choose from as we ascend to the top of the Glen Cove Cirque to access the Devil’s Playground, a broad bowl located above 13,000 feet near the summit of Pikes Peak.  The northern Front Range, Sangre de Cristo, and Sawatch mountains are visible from this lofty vantage point.
