Alpine Mixed Climbing – Glen Cove Cirque on Pikes Peak

Mixed climbing in the Glen Cove cirque is not as committing as the climbing on the north face of Pikes Peak, but it can be every bit as challenging. Offering readily accessible high alpine terrain, this cirque is the perfect venue for climbing mixed rock and snow multi-pitch routes. We have many couloirs and mixed routes to choose from as we ascend to the top of Glen Cove to access the Devil’s Playground, a broad bowl situated above 13,000 feet near the summit of Pikes Peak. The northern Front Range, Sangre de Cristo, and Sawatch mountains are visible from this lofty vantage point.

Classics include the Fairy Tale Wall, Gold Wall, and other multi-pitch snow and mixed routes.
