Introduction to Drytooling, 1/2-Day
Join our guides on Pikes Peak for this 1/2-day introduction to drytooling clinic! You will learn the fundamentals of moving efficiently and securely on technical tools in rocky terrain. This clinic will prepare you for the fantastic ice and mixed climbing we have on Pikes Peak. This is a 1/2 day of instruction (4 hours car-to-car), but plan for a 6 hour day to account for Pikes Peak Highway drive times and a meeting/gear check in the morning.
Client Expectations:
Some previous rock or ice climbing experience preferred. We will spend a full day outside during winter months. The weather can change rapidly; climbers must have all items on gear list.
Equipment Provided:
Helmets, harnesses, boots, crampons, and technical tools.
Not Included:
Transportation to climbing venue, Pikes Peak Highway toll fee, and personal clothing for winter climbing.
