3-Day Lost Wonder Hut Skiing

Join us on this fully guided and catered hut trip to the Lost Wonder Hut on Monarch Pass. Because this hut trip is scheduled later in the season, we can expand our “open” terrain and get into high alpine zones. With this comes the opportunity for summit descents of the many peaks that surround the hut.  Deep immersion in snow country with new friends is the theme of this trip!   Exploring the high alpine with a guide close at hand will also expand your knowledge of safely negotiating complex avalanche terrain.

In order to truly enjoy this day, we recommend that skiers and riders be of advanced ability with all the requisite gear. We also ask that all participants have recently taken an AIARE 1 or AIARE Rescue course. Our AMGA Assistant and Certified ski and splitboard guides will give you unsurpassed attention and tailor the trip to maximize group safety and skier/rider experience.

Skier Expectations:
Must be advanced at resort skiing/snowboarding.  You must be able to ski black diamond runs at the resort with confidence. Completion of an AIARE 1 or AIARE Rescue Course is required.

Included: 2 nights at the hut, breakfasts and dinners at the hut, and AMGA Ski and Splitboard Assistant and Certified Guides.

Not Included: Transportation, day/trail food, and guide gratuity. Backcountry skis/splitboards can be rented at Mountain Chalet or at other gear shops in Salida.
