For the rock climber, the Peak has perhaps the most accessible alpine rock climbing terrain in the state of Colorado. These ancient, glacier-carved walls offer up some of the best granite crack climbs in the country. These climbs rest nearly a vertical mile above the city of Colorado Springs, easily viewed far below. The Peak also hosts several classic alpine routes. These eye-catching ridges and buttresses are host to imposing gendarmes and beautiful knife-edge ridges. They make for excellent outings in their own right, or as training climbs for your next trip to the Alps.
